Q20 has been on South African garage shelves for decades for good reason. It works. The formula displaces moisture from electrical connections and ignition components, which is particularly useful after heavy rain or in coastal environments where humidity gets into everything. It also protects against rust formation on metal surfaces and provides light lubrication for hinges, cables, pulleys and other moving parts.
The 300g aerosol gives you a good amount of product per can, with a spray tube for targeted application in tight spots. Use it on door hinges, bonnet latches, spark plug leads, battery terminals, chain links, brake cables, padlocks and garden tools. It’s not the right product for high-load bearing surfaces that need grease (see the Herschell grease range for those), but for everyday moisture protection and light lubrication it’s hard to beat.
