Wheel bearings fail silently until they don’t. A humming sound that gets louder with speed, a vibration through the steering wheel at highway speeds, or a grinding from one corner during a turn are all signs that a bearing is on its way out. Regular repacking with the right grease is what prevents those failures from happening before the bearing’s rated life.
Herschell Wheel Bearing Grease is an MOS2-fortified formula, meaning molybdenum disulphide is incorporated into the grease as an additional boundary lubricant. MOS2 provides protection at the points of highest load in the bearing, where conventional grease alone can be squeezed out of the contact zone.
The formula is water-resistant, which matters for wheel bearings that are exposed to rain, car washes and road spray, and heat-resistant for the temperature cycling that bearings experience during driving. The 500g tub is enough for several bearing repacking jobs.
